Butter London: Fishwife

Exciting day! After reading rave blog reviews of this color I just had to get my hands on a bottle of Butter London's Fishwife. It's my first bottle of Butter London polish ever, and I am totally a fan. The formula is the perfect consistency and is 3 Free. Fishwife is currently a U.S. only color and can be found on Butter London's website for $14.

Fishwife is a beautiful desaturated green and blue holo polish that is incredibly sophisticated-looking. It only takes two easy and smooth coats to be completely opaque. All photos are two coats Butter London Fishwife with Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat. Please excuse my purple cuticles. I recently dyed my hair purple and I accidentally dyed my cuticle as well! Oops. I've been pretty busy so I haven't had a chance to take pictures until 5 days after I put it on. Look! No chips at all! Oh, and it was super easy to remove.

Butter London is a bit pricey but I think based on quality of the formula and extremely unique and fascinating color it's totally worth it!

Serum No. 5 Shrinking Violet and Day Glow

I've been a polish addict for a while now and finally decided to start blogging about my great finds. Feel free to follow me or contact me at jennioosnails@gmail.com if you're interested in having me review your polish.

I recently purchased Serum N*5's 6ml versions of "Shrinking Violet" and "Day Glow" from their Etsy shop for $5 each. They also sell 15ml bottles for $12. I highly recommend liking their Facebook page to find out when polishes are back in stock, especially "Day Glow", which sells out quickly.

What a treat! I couldn't wait to try them both so I put Day Glow on as an accent nail. Three coats was all I needed. Day Glow dries to a gritty finish, but one coat of Seche Vite made it nice and glossy without minimizing the glow. Day Glow in the light is a pale pastel yellow with a hint of neon yellow, very beautiful, and in the dark it glows just like the plastic glow in the dark stars I used to play with as a kid.

Shrinking Violet is a feminine semi-opaque pastel purple base containing purple hex glitter, and small blue glitter. The pattern it creates is super organic and reminds me of the spots on eggs. I used 3 coats to get full coverage.
Instagram-worthy!

Both polishes had a nice consistency. Not too thick or thin, and the brush worked fine. I would definitely be checking out Serum No. 5's store more in the future. Great polishes, and at $5 for a mini bottle, it's a steal!
